Sentiments From the 2015-16 Grads!

I wanted to give you an update on the 2015-2016 senior graduates that you have graciously and
generously assisted this year. We sponsored ten seniors with a senior bundle (yearbook, cap/gown,
announcements, Prom ticket, and Grad night ticket).

Two of our grads live a boy’s residential home, as they have no family to support them or they are
unable to reside with their family. A couple of our other seniors will not be graduating with their
class this year, but asked if we will hold our support for them as they are determined to graduate next year.
We said, “Of Course!”

A handful of grads gave us their sentiments that they wanted you to hear:

Meet Rachel:

Dear members of The Guardian Foundation,
Thank you. Thank you so much. These simple words are the most I have to express my gratitude for the
kindness you have shown me. Becoming a senior has meant a lot of things to me. “Queen of the school”
and applying for college, but I was also worried about the cost of many things seniors need and do. You
have lifted a worry from my mind. Your help means so much to me, and I am sure to have an even better
senior year because of it. So again, Thank You!
(Sadly, Rachel’s teenage brother passed away a few days before Prom. With a broken heart, she still attended her prom.)

Meet Alyssa:

After I graduate, I plan to go to Valley for two years to get my general ed done then transfer to the University of
Arizona. Thank you for helping me be able to do everything this year. My senior year was very memorable.
Thank you!

Meet Anthony:

I would like to give my thanks for the prom ticket. I had an amazing time and I couldn’t help but acknowledge this
program for helping me and my parents throughout my senior year. Not to forget, I also appreciate my grad night
tickets being paid for and also my cap and gown, and yearbook. I am very grateful to be a part of this program and
I cannot thank you enough for being so supportive for the majority of my high school.

Meet Brianna:

I wanted to say thank you for everything you have done for me. I couldn’t get through senior year without it.

I wanted to remind you that all our seniors are recommended to us through the Redlands High School team of counselors,
who refer them due to their extreme need, as well as excellent student status. These counselors repeatedly state that they
are particularly proud of these students due to them overcoming such overwhelming odds against them.

Thank you so much for your continued support towards The Guardian Foundation, as we bring your kindness to very grateful young

My warm regards,
